Suzuki to Launch Electric Access Scooter in 2025

Suzuki is gearing up to introduce its first electric scooter in India in 2025. The company plans to launch an electric variant of its popular Access scooter to directly compete with the upcoming Honda Activa Electric.

Suzuki has been conducting road tests of the electric Burgman scooter in India for the past two years. However, the company’s initial focus will be on launching the electric Access, followed by the electric Burgman Street. Both scooters share a common platform, simplifying the development and testing process for the brand.

Like other Japanese manufacturers, Suzuki has been relatively slow in adopting electric mobility. With Honda set to launch the Activa Electric this month, Suzuki aims to establish its presence in the growing electric scooter market.

While a specific launch date for the Suzuki Access Electric hasn’t been announced, we can expect more details to emerge closer to the festive season next year.
