MG Motor India is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup with the highly anticipated Windsor EV. This upcoming model, which will be the company’s third EV offering in the Indian market, has been generating significant buzz among automotive enthusiasts.
One of the latest features revealed for the Windsor EV is a fixed panoramic glass roof. This innovative addition is designed to enhance the interior ambience by allowing ample natural light to enter the cabin. While the glass roof cannot be opened like traditional sunroofs, it still adds a premium touch to the vehicle.
In terms of design, the Windsor EV boasts a modern and stylish crossover body style. The car features all-LED lighting elements and a clean, minimalist exterior. With its sleek lines and eye-catching aesthetics, the Windsor EV is poised to make a strong impression on the Indian automotive market.
Under the hood, the Windsor EV is expected to be powered by a 50.6 kWh battery pack that drives a front-wheel-drive motor. This configuration delivers a respectable 136 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. While the Indonesian version claims a range of 460 km, the Indian model could potentially offer an even longer range due to the ARAI testing process.
MG has officially announced that the Windsor EV will be launched on September 11. The estimated starting price of Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) positions the vehicle as a more affordable alternative to the MG ZS EV while still offering a premium experience compared to the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400 EV.
