Mercedes-Benz India is set to conclude its 2024 launch calendar with the introduction of the highly anticipated C63 AMG S E Performance on November 12th. This high-performance sedan, unveiled in September 2022, marks a significant departure from its predecessors, as it ditches the traditional V8 engine in favor of a powerful hybrid powertrain.
The heart of the C63 S E Performance is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine inspired by Formula 1 technology. Combined with an electric motor, this powertrain delivers a staggering 670 horsepower and 1020 Nm of torque. This potent combination propels the sedan from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.
The plug-in hybrid system offers an electric-only range of 13 kilometers, allowing for emissions-free driving in urban environments. Additionally, the electric motor aids the turbocharger, eliminating turbo lag and ensuring instantaneous power delivery.
The C63 S E Performance boasts an aggressive and aerodynamic design, featuring a prominent Panamericana grille, sporty body kit, and quad-exhaust tips. The interior is equally impressive, with carbon fiber accents, AMG-specific upholstery, and a cutting-edge infotainment system.
