The much-anticipated Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is set to commence on January 17, with Indian manufacturers gearing up to unveil their latest innovations. Among the highlights is Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle, the e-Vitara, a production-ready version of the eVX concept revealed at Auto Expo 2023.
Tata Motors is also poised to showcase the Tata Sierra, available in both ICE and EV variants, along with the Harrier EV. The event promises a glimpse into the evolving landscape of India’s automotive market, with electric and sustainable mobility at its core. Let’s explore the key details of these exciting vehicles.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara
Ahead of its Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 debut, Maruti Suzuki has teased the e-Vitara, an electric SUV embodying the brand’s signature design language. It features a modern aesthetic with tri-arrow LED DRLs integrated into the main headlights, a bold bonnet, and a front fender-mounted charging port. At the rear, the e-Vitara showcases two-piece LED tail lights, an integrated spoiler, a shark fin antenna, and distinctive badging.
Built on Maruti Suzuki’s latest EV platform, the e-Vitara is expected to offer two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh, paired with an AWD system. This electric SUV will compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE6, and Tata Curvv Electric in the growing EV market.
Tata Sierra ICE and EV
The Tata Sierra will make a striking comeback at the expo, featuring its signature large rear window design. The EV version is likely to be equipped with a 60-80 kWh battery, delivering an estimated range of over 500 km on a single charge.
For the first time, Tata will also showcase the ICE variant, which is expected to feature a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine generating 167 hp and 280 Nm of torque, alongside a 2.0-liter diesel engine similar to the Harrier.
Tata Harrier EV
First unveiled at Auto Expo 2023 and later at Mobility Expo 2024, the Tata Harrier EV is set to return with a design closely resembling its ICE counterpart. Equipped with an AWD system, the Harrier EV promises a range exceeding 500 km on a single charge, further cementing Tata’s position in the electric mobility space.
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 promises an exciting showcase of innovation, as Indian manufacturers push the boundaries of technology and design to shape the future of mobility.
