Hero MotoCorp’s electric vehicle subsidiary, Vida, has unveiled its latest electric scooter, the Vida Z, at EICMA 2024. This new model is set to spearhead Hero’s entry into European markets, followed by a range of premium internal combustion engine motorcycles.
The Vida Z boasts a more subdued design compared to its predecessor, the Vida V1. The front apron is smoother and more rounded, blending seamlessly with the side panels. The integrated rectangular headlamp with distinctive DRLs adds a modern touch. The handlebar cowl features a dual-tone finish, further enhancing the scooter’s aesthetic appeal.
The rear end of the Vida Z is equally sleek, with rounded side panels and an integrated tail lamp. The single-piece seat with a small backrest offers comfort for both rider and pillion. The overall design strikes a balance between simplicity and style.
In terms of features, the Vida Z offers a removable battery pack for convenient charging, a touchscreen TFT instrument cluster, connected features, and over-the-air updates. The scooter is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor that drives the rear wheel through a direct drive system.
While specific powertrain details are yet to be disclosed, Vida has confirmed that the Z will be available with battery packs ranging from 2.2 kWh to 4.4 kWh, catering to various range requirements.
With its stylish design, practical features, and versatile powertrain options, the Vida Z is poised to make a significant impact in the European electric scooter market.
