Ather Rizta Electric Scooter: Spacious, Feature-Packed, Launches at ₹1.10 Lakh

Electric scooter enthusiasts won’t have to wait much longer to get their hands on the new Ather Rizta. Ather Energy announced deliveries will begin in mid-to-late June, with test drives starting June 1st. Those interested in the longer-range Z variant with the 3.7 kWh battery might wait a bit longer, as deliveries are expected to begin in July.

Ather Rizta Specifications:

Designed for urban and family use, the Ather Rizta prioritizes space and functionality. Built on the same platform as the Ather 450, it boasts the largest seat of any scooter in its class. Offered in three variants with two battery options, the base Ather Rizta S features a 2.9 kWh battery for a 123 km IDC range. Upgrading to the Ather Rizta Z variant unlocks a larger 3.7 kWh battery, extending the IDC range to 160 km. The Z variant also offers the same 2.9 kWh battery option found in the S model.

Features:

The Ather Rizta is packed with features for convenience and safety. The familiar 7-inch DeepView display, borrowed from the Ather 450 scooters, offers features like Google Maps navigation, traffic overlays, and news previews. For rider safety, Ather Rizta utilizes a skid control system that works with the existing Ather Drive Control to ensure synchronized wheel speeds using front-wheel sensors. Standard features include an Emergency Stop Switch (ESS), Fall Detection, AutoHold Parking Assist, and Find My Scooter.

Comfort is a major focus, with the Ather Rizta offering a wide, 900 mm long seat. This generous seat sits above a spacious 34-liter under-seat storage compartment, complemented by an additional 22-liter boot. Ather Rizta offers a variety of accessories to maximize this space, including an 18W outlet for charging devices and a cleverly designed organizer pack that expands trunk storage while doubling as a carry bag.

Ather Rizta Prices and Bookings:

The Ather Rizta launches at an attractive price of ₹1.10 lakh for the S variant with the smaller 2.9 kWh battery. The Ather Rizta Z with the 2.9 kWh battery is priced slightly higher at ₹1.25 lakh. Opting for the longer-range 3.7 kWh battery in the Z variant increases the price to ₹1.60 lakh. Bookings are already open across India for a token amount of ₹999.
