Alpine has confirmed that it will showcase its highly anticipated A390_β show car at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. This electric coupe-SUV concept marks a significant step forward for the French automaker, offering a glimpse into its future product lineup.

The A390_β will make its online debut on October 11th, ahead of its physical appearance at the Paris Motor Show. This strategy mirrors Alpine’s approach with the A290 hot hatch, where a beta version was unveiled before the final production model.

While the production version of the A390 is slated to roll off the assembly line in Dieppe in 2025, the show car provides a strong indication of what to expect. Given Alpine’s previous track record, the final product is likely to closely resemble the A390_β.

The A390 is set to compete in the growing segment of electric coupe-SUVs, rivalling models like the Volkswagen ID.5 and Cupra Tavascan. Alpine refers to its unique design as a “sport fastback,” combining elements of a coupe and an SUV.

Although the A390’s powertrain specifications and performance figures remain undisclosed, it’s clear that this model will be all-electric. To reassure fans that the A390 will maintain Alpine’s performance-oriented heritage, the company has also announced that it will exhibit the latest version of its Alpenglow Hy6 hydrogen-powered prototype racer at the Paris Motor Show. Additionally, new examples of A110 customisations will be on display, showcasing Alpine’s commitment to delivering high-performance driving experiences.

As more details about the A390 become available, we can expect to learn more about its range, charging capabilities, and other key specifications.
