Toyota is set to unveil two exciting concept vehicles at the upcoming SEMA Show: the Land Cruiser ROX Concept and the 4Runner TRD Surf Concept.
Land Cruiser ROX Concept
The Land Cruiser ROX Concept is a radical reimagining of the new-generation Land Cruiser, designed to provide an open-air off-road experience. Calty Design Research has transformed the SUV into a pickup truck by removing the roof, C-pillar, and D-pillar. A custom framework has been added to maintain structural integrity, while a panoramic roof with a reclining soft top offers panoramic views. The vehicle also features custom half-doors, wide fender flares, and larger off-road tires.
To enhance its off-road capabilities, the Land Cruiser ROX is equipped with steel bumpers, skid plates, brush guards, a functional tailgate, and a spare tire carrier. The concept showcases Toyota’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of off-road vehicle design.
4Runner TRD Surf Concept
The 4Runner TRD Surf Concept pays homage to the classic Hilux Surf, a popular two-door SUV from the 1980s. This concept vehicle features a removable roof and D-pillars, creating a convertible-like configuration. A custom roof rack is designed to carry surfboards, staying true to the Surf’s legacy.
To complete the off-road look, the 4Runner TRD Surf Concept will receive wide fender flares, a bull bar, Turbo badging, and a topographical map graphic on the hood. With its unique styling and off-road capabilities, this concept is sure to turn heads at SEMA.
Both concepts will be showcased at the 2024 SEMA Show, which takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 5th to 8th.
