Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has joined other automakers in increasing the prices of its popular Fortuner SUV in the Indian market. This price adjustment, attributed to rising inflation, affects both the standard and Legender versions of the vehicle.

The price hikes vary across variants. The top-spec GR-S variant sees the most significant increase at Rs 50,000. Other diesel variants, including 4×2 and 4×4 configurations with manual and automatic transmissions, experience a uniform price hike of Rs 40,000. Petrol variants receive a Rs 35,000 price increase. The Legender range also sees a price hike of Rs 45,000 for both 4×2 and 4×4 automatic variants.

Engine Options and Pricing

The standard Fortuner starts at Rs 33.78 lakh (ex-showroom) and offers a choice of two engines: a 2.7-liter petrol producing 163 bhp and 245 Nm of torque, and a 2.8-liter diesel generating 201 bhp and 420/500 Nm of torque (manual/automatic). The Legender version, exclusively available with the 2.8-liter diesel engine and automatic transmission, starts at Rs 44.11 lakh (ex-showroom).
