Tata Motors is gearing up for the grand launch of its highly anticipated Curvv coupe SUV, a stylish and versatile offering in the compact SUV segment. Initially available in electric (EV) and diesel variants, the Curvv promises a thrilling driving experience with its bold design and advanced features. Recent teasers showcase the Curvv conquering both the scorching Thar desert and the freezing Himalayan terrain, hinting at its all-weather capabilities.
Exterior Design Hints at Sporty Character
While the teasers offer a glimpse of the Curvv’s exterior, they maintain some camouflage, keeping the full reveal for the launch. However, key design elements are already generating excitement. The sloping roofline creates a sporty coupe silhouette, complemented by sleek flush door handles – a first for Tata Motors. The teasers also reveal stylish alloy wheels, potentially larger than those seen on the Nexon EV.
Spacious Interiors Packed with Technology
The Curvv promises a feature-rich interior designed for comfort and connectivity. The highlight is a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting all telematics features, video streaming, and wireless smartphone connectivity. Passengers can also enjoy a premium audio experience with a JBL surround sound system and ventilated seats. Additional comfort features include wireless charging and a rotary dial for drive mode selection.
Curvv EV: Long Range and Advanced Safety
The Curvv EV, built on Tata’s versatile Acti.ev platform, boasts an impressive range of 400-450 km and potentially even a long-range variant offering up to 500 km on a single charge. DC fast charging and vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities further enhance its practicality. Safety is paramount, with the Curvv EV featuring a total of 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS functionalities like autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.
Competitive Pricing and Diverse Competition
The Curvv EV is expected to be priced starting from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), competing with established players like the MG ZS EV and BYD Atto 3, as well as upcoming contenders such as the Hyundai Creta EV and Mahindra BE.05. The ICE version, borrowing its engine lineup from the Nexon, will take on a wider range of rivals including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and many more.
With its unique combination of style, performance, and technology, the Tata Curvv is poised to shake up the compact SUV segment. Stay tuned for further updates as we approach the official launch!
