Tata Altroz Racer Launched: A Hot Hatch for Everyday Thrills

Tata Motors, India’s leading automaker, has unveiled the Altroz Racer, a sporty iteration of its popular Altroz hatchback. This new variant promises an exhilarating driving experience with its powerful 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 120 PS at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm torque between 1,750 and 4,000 rpm.

Race-Inspired Design and Packed with Features

The Altroz Racer boasts a race-inspired design aesthetic, both inside and out. It comes loaded with features, making it the most premium version of the Altroz. Some of the highlights include a 360-degree camera for enhanced parking ease, a large 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats for added comfort, and six airbags for superior safety (standard on all Racer variants).

The Only Hatchback with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission

The Altroz Racer is the only car in its segment to offer a 6-speed manual transmission, ensuring agile handling and a sporty driving experience in both city traffic and on highways.

Multiple Variants and Color Options

The Altroz Racer will be available in three variants – R1, R2, and R3 – catering to different customer needs and budgets. Each variant will be offered in three distinct colors: Pure Grey, Atomic Orange, and Avenue White.

Expanding the Altroz Range

In addition to the Altroz Racer, Tata Motors has also introduced two new variants (XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX) and upgraded one existing variant (XZ+OS) in the Altroz lineup. These variants will offer a wider range of engine options, including manual petrol, DCA petrol, diesel, and CNG.

Introductory Prices

The Altroz Racer carries a starting price of ₹ 9,49,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the R1 variant. The prices increase progressively for the R2 and R3 variants. The introductory prices for all variants are as follows:

• Racer R2: ₹ 10,49,000
• Racer R3: ₹ 10,99,000
