Tata Altroz Racer: Bookings Open, Launch Set for June 7

Tata Motors has finally announced the launch date of its upcoming Altroz Racer. Prices for the high-performance hatchback will be unveiled on June 7, 2024. Ahead of the launch, we already have information about the variants, powertrain, colour options, and features of the Altroz Racer.

The Hyundai i20 N Line rival is available in three variants – R1, R2, and R3. When it comes to colour options, customers can choose from three exterior paint finishes – Atomic Orange, Avenue White, and Pure Grey. Additionally, interested buyers can pre-book the model by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000.

In terms of powertrain and specifications, the Altroz Racer will adopt the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Nexon. This engine is tuned to produce 118 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Altroz Racer was also expected to feature a DCT gearbox like the one its aforementioned direct competitor has. However, the Indian carmaker has decided not to include an automatic transmission.

As for features, the Altroz Racer will come with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, cruise control, automatic air conditioning, air purifier, and ambient lighting. Features like a 360-degree surround-view camera, ventilated front seats, blind-spot monitor, and a single-pane power sunroof are also on offer.
