Jaguar, renowned for its elegant sports cars, is embarking on a new era of electric vehicles. However, for those yearning for the roaring engines of the past, TWR is reviving the iconic XJS with a modern twist.

TWR, an engineering company founded by Tom Walkinshaw Racing, is transforming the classic XJS into a high-performance restomod dubbed the “Supercat.” This reimagined sports car boasts a striking carbon fiber body designed by Khyzyl Saleem, giving it a more aggressive and aerodynamic profile.

The Supercat is not just about looks. Under the hood, a bored-out 6.5-liter V12 engine delivers a powerful 660 horsepower, a significant upgrade from the original 6.3-liter V12. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission with launch control.

To complement the engine’s raw power, TWR has also enhanced the chassis with carbon fiber reinforcements and a high-strength steel subframe. The suspension system has been upgraded with active and adjustable dampers, and a limited-slip differential ensures optimal traction.

The interior of the Supercat blends classic style with modern technology. The cabin features carbon fiber-backed leather seats, a digital instrument cluster, and a center infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Despite the modern additions, TWR has retained the car’s iconic design elements, such as the classic gear shifter and the overall layout.

With a limited production run of just 88 units, the Supercat is a highly exclusive vehicle. It’s a testament to TWR’s commitment to preserving automotive heritage while pushing the boundaries of performance and technology.
