Porsche reintroduces the enthusiast-driven 911 Carrera T for 2025, offering it for the first time as both a coupe and a cabriolet. This third modern version of the Carrera T refines its distinctive blend of high-performance components, lightweight materials, and sporty design. Equipped exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission, it provides a purist driving experience paired with the 911 Carrera’s standard engine.
Power and Performance
The Carrera T is powered by the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine as the base Carrera, delivering 388 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. It reaches 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds in coupe form and 4.5 seconds as a cabriolet, with top speeds of 183 mph and 182 mph respectively. The manual gearbox features six of the seven ratios from previous 911 models, highlighted by a unique walnut ball shift knob that adds a distinctive touch.
The Sport Chrono package, standard on the Carrera T, includes an auto-blip function for seamless downshifts, configurable driving modes, and a performance-focused Track Precision app. A Sport Exhaust system, combined with reduced sound insulation, enhances the sensory experience for drivers.
Enhanced Chassis and Handling
The 2025 Carrera T’s handling improvements include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with a 10mm lowered ride height, bolstering its agility on winding roads. Larger 350mm brakes at both the front and rear, upgraded to six-piston calipers at the front, improve stopping power. Rear-axle steering and Porsche Torque Vectoring further enhance maneuverability and stability, supported by specific anti-roll bars and aerodynamic tweaks for optimal balance. The Carrera T rides on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear Carrera S alloy wheels with performance tires.
Lightweight Design and Interior Features
Echoing the spirit of the original 911 T models of the late 1960s, the Carrera T emphasizes weight savings. The use of lightweight glass, reduced sound insulation, and the six-speed manual transmission help shed pounds. For added performance, buyers can opt for carbon-fiber bucket seats.
Visually, the Carrera T stands out with Vanadium Grey Metallic accents on the side mirrors, wheels, and rear badging, along with a black-finished Sport Exhaust. An optional Carrera T Exterior Package includes Gentian Blue accents on select exterior elements, including the hood stripe, door decals, and rear designation. Inside, the standard interior features anodized aluminum door panels, black plaid seat centers, and a dash-mounted shift pattern graphic.
The coupe offers a two-seater setup, with the option to add rear seats at no cost, while the cabriolet includes standard rear seats. For further personalization, a 911 Carrera T Interior Package introduces Gentian Blue accents on stitching, seat belts, and trim, allowing drivers to elevate their cabin with tailored details.
Pricing and Availability
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera T is available for order, with deliveries expected by summer. The MSRP is $134,000 for the coupe and $147,300 for the cabriolet, plus a destination fee of $1,995.
