German luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz has officially launched the 2024-25 AMG G 63 in India. This iconic SUV is available at a starting price of Rs 3.6 crore (ex-showroom) and offers a wide range of customization options with 31 upholstery and 29 paint choices.

The AMG G 63 marks the 13th new model launch for Mercedes-Benz in India this year, with one more launch planned before the end of the year. This information was revealed by the brand’s top officials during the launch event of the E-Class LWB.

Strong Demand:

Even before its official launch, the AMG G 63 had garnered significant interest, receiving over 120 bookings. Mercedes-Benz has now opened bookings for the SUV with deliveries expected to begin in Q3 2025.

Powerful Performance:

Under the hood, the AMG G 63 is equipped with a potent bi-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a 48V mild hybrid system. This combination delivers a maximum power of 577 horsepower and 850 Nm of peak torque.

The engine is mated to a nine-speed torque converter gearbox and AMG’s Performance 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. Additionally, the SUV features a Race Start system, included in the AMG performance package, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h.

Refined Design:

While the overall road presence of the AMG G 63 remains similar to its predecessor, it incorporates several cosmetic enhancements. The updated front fascia features a prominent blacked-out grille with the iconic three-pointed star. The SUV also showcases stylish alloy wheels, substantial side cladding, roof rails, and LED elements.
