Mahindra XUV 3XO is Coming: Here’s What You Need to Know

Mahindra XUV 3XO

Mahindra is gearing up to launch the much-anticipated XUV 3XO, a substantial refresh of the popular XUV300 subcompact SUV. Scheduled to debut on April 29, 2024, the XUV 3XO promises a significant upgrade in design, features, and technology. Here’s a detailed look at what you can expect from this exciting new offering.

A Bold New Design

The XUV 3XO sheds the XUV300’s look for a sharper, more contemporary aesthetic. Teaser images reveal a completely redesigned front fascia featuring a split headlamp layout with LED projector headlights and L-shaped LED DRLs. A new diamond-patterned grille with a larger central air intake adds a touch of aggression. Circular fog lamps and stylish dual-tone alloy wheels complete the fresh look. The rear boasts redesigned full-width LED taillights, a restyled tailgate with the new XUV 3XO badge, and a relocated registration plate.

A Feature-Packed Interior

Moving inside, the XUV 3XO takes inspiration from its electric sibling, the XUV400. Expect a premium cabin with a focus on comfort and convenience. The biggest highlight is a large, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A fully-digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster replaces the analog dials in the XUV300, offering a more modern and customizable driving experience. Creature comforts like a panoramic sunroof (likely on top-end models), dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, and type-C USB outlets are also anticipated. Mahindra might even introduce ventilated seats for a truly luxurious feel.

Safety First

Safety is a priority for the XUV 3XO. The car is expected to retain the XUV300’s strong safety record, possibly achieving a 5-star Global NCAP rating. All four disc brakes, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control are likely to be standard features. The XUV 3XO might even be the first in its segment to offer Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features, putting it ahead of the competition.

Engine Options and Performance

While official details are yet to be revealed, the XUV 3XO is expected to carry over the XUV300’s engine options. This includes a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine, a 1.2L naturally-aspirated petrol engine, and a 1.5L diesel engine. Mahindra might tweak these engines for better performance and fuel efficiency.

Expected Launch Date and Price

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is scheduled for a formal launch on April 29, 2024. With its extensive upgrades, the XUV 3XO is likely to command a slight premium over the outgoing XUV300. Industry estimates suggest a starting price range of ₹8 lakh (approx. USD $9,700) to ₹13 lakh (approx. USD $15,800) depending on the variant.

The XUV 3XO: A Strong Contender

The Mahindra XUV 3XO promises to be a compelling option in the subcompact SUV segment. With its bold design, feature-rich interior, focus on safety, and potentially competitive pricing, the XUV 3XO is poised to take on established rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Nexon. Expect the XUV 3XO to shake up the market when it arrives later this month.
