Bookings and Deliveries
Bookings for the Mahindra Thar Roxx will commence on October 3, 2024. Deliveries are scheduled to begin around the time of Dussehra, ensuring a festive launch for this exciting new model. Test drives will be available starting from September 14, allowing potential buyers to experience the Thar Roxx firsthand.
Auction of the First Unit
Following the footsteps of the successful auction of the first three-door Thar in 2020, Mahindra is once again offering the first customer unit of the Thar Roxx, VIN 0001, for auction. The proceeds from this auction will be donated to a non-profit organization of the winner’s choice.
Online Bidding and Charity
Online registrations for the auction are now open. The bidding will commence on September 15, 2024, at 5 PM and conclude the following day at 7 PM. Interested customers can visit the Mahindra website to participate.
The auction winner will have the opportunity to choose from four reputable non-profit organizations: Naandi Foundation, BAIF Development Research Foundation, Watershed Organization Trust, and UNITED WAY MUMBAI.

Thar Roxx Details
The Thar Roxx being auctioned is the top-spec AX7 L diesel automatic 4WD variant. Customers can select from seven color options: Deep Forest, Everest White, Tango Red, Battleship Grey, Nebula Blue, Burnt Sienna, or Stealth Black. The vehicle will also feature a unique badge with Anand Mahindra’s signature.
Variants and Pricing
The Thar Roxx is available in six variants: MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L. Prices start at Rs 12.99 lakh for the MX1 base petrol MT and go up to Rs 20.49 lakh for the AX7L diesel MT (ex-showroom introductory). The prices for the 4×4 variants will be announced at a later date.
Powertrain Options
The Thar Roxx is equipped with two powerful engine options: a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that generates 162hp and 330Nm of torque, and a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine that produces 152hp and 330Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
