Hyundai Motor India has expanded its popular Venue compact SUV lineup with the introduction of the new S+ variant. This exciting addition comes equipped with a 1.2L Kappa petrol engine and boasts a standout feature: an electric sunroof. Priced competitively at ₹9.36 lakh (ex-showroom), the Venue S+ offers a compelling proposition for buyers seeking a stylish and feature-rich SUV without breaking the bank.
Previously, the Venue S+ was available solely with a 1.5L diesel engine, carrying a higher price tag of ₹10.71 lakh (ex-showroom). The new petrol-powered variant is expected to broaden the SUV’s appeal to a wider audience.
Feature-Packed and Safe
The Venue S+ comes loaded with features to enhance the driving experience. Key highlights include a TFT MID instrument cluster, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity, rear AC vents, and roof rails. Hyundai has also prioritized safety, equipping the S+ with essential features like six airbags, TPMS Highline, automatic headlamps, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC).
Powertrain Details
Under the hood, the Venue S+ houses a 1.2L Kappa petrol engine capable of producing 83 hp and 114 Nm of torque. Transmission options are limited to a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the diesel variant is also available with a 5-speed manual transmission, it generates more power with 116 hp and 250 Nm of torque.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift on the Horizon
In other Hyundai news, the automaker is gearing up to launch the facelifted version of its popular three-row SUV, the Alcazar. Based on the successful Creta platform, the Alcazar facelift is expected to arrive next month with a refreshed design and additional features. While engine and transmission options are likely to remain unchanged, the updated model is anticipated to offer a more premium and technologically advanced experience.
