Hyundai Motor India has unveiled the new Alcazar facelift, a premium 7-seater SUV positioned above the Creta. Offered in four variants – Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature – the Alcazar facelift is available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

The Alcazar facelift is priced competitively, starting at Rs 14.99 lakh for the base petrol trim and Rs 15.99 lakh for the diesel-powered version (ex-showroom). The full variant lineup and their corresponding prices are as follows:

Exterior Design

The Alcazar facelift boasts a more refined and sophisticated exterior design compared to its predecessor. It features a redesigned front grille, revised LED headlamps, and connected LED tail lamps. The SUV also gets a new tailgate, spoiler, and redesigned front and rear bumpers. It rides on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and offers eight monotone color options and one dual-tone option.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Alcazar facelift offers a premium and spacious cabin with a new dashboard layout similar to the Creta. It features a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a premium dual-tone upholstery, and a Bose sound system. The second row seats get folding armrests for easier access to the third row.

Safety Features

Safety is a priority in the Alcazar facelift, which comes equipped with a host of features, including 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, traction control, electronic stability control, and disc brakes on all corners. The SUV also offers Level 2 ADAS with 19+ safety features.

Engine and Performance

The Alcazar facelift is powered by a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 158 HP and 253 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 114 HP and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The petrol variants also offer a 7-speed DCT.

Fuel Efficiency

The Alcazar facelift offers impressive fuel efficiency figures. The petrol variants claim 17.5 km/l with the 6-speed manual and 18 km/l with the 7-speed DCT. The diesel variants claim 20.4 km/l with the 6-speed manual and 18.1 km/l with the 6-speed torque converter.
