The BMW M4 CS has made its way to Singapore, but with a price tag that’s as shocking as its performance. Priced at a staggering SGD$702,888 (approximately $523,000), the M4 CS is almost as expensive as a brand-new Lamborghini Revuelto in the US.
This exorbitant price is primarily due to Singapore’s high Certificate of Entitlement (COE) fees. A COE, which is mandatory for all vehicles registered in Singapore, can cost anywhere between SGD$104,000 to SGD$152,000, often exceeding the car’s original price.
Despite the astronomical price, the M4 CS offers impressive performance. Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, it delivers 543 horsepower and 461 lb-ft of torque, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. The M4 CS also features a host of performance upgrades, including a more aggressive aerodynamic package, stiffer suspension, and lightweight components.
While the M4 CS is a highly desirable car, its extremely high price tag in Singapore is likely to limit its appeal to a select few. It remains to be seen how many units BMW will allocate to the Singapore market, given the limited demand and the significant financial investment required.
