2026 Kia Sportage Teases Updated Design Ahead of Debut

2026 Kia Sportage

Kia has unveiled the first official teaser for the upcoming facelift of its Sportage SUV. This update marks a significant refresh for the fifth-generation model, which was initially launched three years ago. The revised Sportage is expected to feature a host of styling enhancements and technological upgrades.

The teaser video offers a glimpse of the vehicle’s redesigned front fascia, showcasing a sharper, more aggressive look with vertically stacked headlights and a prominent grille. While the side profile remains largely unchanged, the rear features tweaked LED graphics for a more modern aesthetic. These design changes are expected to be applied to both the long-wheelbase and short-wheelbase versions of the Sportage.

Kia’s approach to this facelift aligns with the updates made to other models like the Picanto, Sorento, Carnival, K4, and K8, bringing them in line with the brand’s growing electric vehicle lineup.

Although the interior remains hidden in the teaser, spy shots have revealed a redesigned dashboard with a large curved display, updated controls, and a two-spoke steering wheel. These changes suggest a more modern and technologically advanced cabin for the facelifted Sportage.

The official Korean debut of the facelifted Sportage is scheduled for November, and we can expect to learn more about its specific features, specifications, and pricing closer to that time.
