Kymco, a leading Taiwanese motorcycle manufacturer, has made a bold statement at EICMA 2024 with the unveiling of its first maxi-adventure scooter, the CV-R5. This innovative new model combines aggressive styling with advanced technology to create a unique and exciting riding experience.

The CV-R5 boasts a distinctive design language characterized by sharp lines and geometric shapes. The high, uncovered handlebar, handguards, and sporty exhaust further enhance its adventurous appeal. The 800mm seat height provides ample ground clearance, while the under-seat storage can accommodate a full-face or crossover helmet.

To ensure a comfortable and convenient ride, Kymco has equipped the CV-R5 with a range of modern features, including keyless start, a color TFT display with connectivity, ABS, traction control, and tire pressure monitoring.

Powering the CV-R5 is a 427cc single-cylinder engine with multi-map ride-by-wire technology. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 34.4 horsepower and a peak torque of 40 Nm, ensuring strong performance both on and off-road. The CVT automatic transmission and chain final drive provide smooth and efficient power delivery.

The CV-R5’s chassis features a central engine placement and a suspension setup consisting of an inverted fork and a monoshock with PTM (Pivoting Torque Management) system. The 210kg weight, combined with 17-inch alloy wheels and semi-knobby tires, offers a balance of on-road comfort and off-road capability.
