Kawasaki’s new adventure tourer, the Versys X-300, is all set to hit the Indian market in the coming weeks. The bike is expected to be launched around the festive season in October, making it a timely entry for the Japanese manufacturer to compete against the popular Royal Enfield Himalayan and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure.
To attract customers away from its rivals, Kawasaki is expected to price the Versys X-300 quite competitively. The company is reportedly working on localizing as many parts as possible, a strategy similar to the one they adopted for the Ninja 300. This localization should help keep the price in check.
The Versys X-300 is powered by a reliable 296cc, parallel-twin engine known for its smooth performance and tractability. The engine delivers a decent 39bhp and 26.1Nm of torque, making it suitable for both city commuting and highway cruising. Coupled with a six-speed gearbox, the Versys X-300 promises a sporty and enjoyable riding experience.
The expected price range for the Kawasaki Versys X-300 in India is between Rs 3.6 to Rs 3.9 lakh (ex-showroom). With its competitive pricing, attractive features, and strong brand reputation, the Versys X-300 is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian adventure touring segment.
