Two-wheeler manufacturer Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has launched a new color option for its popular Jawa 42 Bobber bike. The company launched this variant with a bright red color scheme for a price tag of Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
This is not the top-of-the-line Black Mirror Edition, but a separate variant with a new color option. The Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition was launched at the All You Can Street Festival (AYCS) in Mumbai.
Bike booking has started and delivery will also be made soon. It competes with the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 in the roadster segment of the Indian market.

Design of the Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition Apart from the new color, no changes have been made to the bike. The following describes the design elements and specifications of the Jawa 42 Bobber:
It features two-tone alloy wheels finished in black and silver. Tubeless tires are available on these wheels. The gearbox and engine cover also receive a Black Mirror-style design.
Red Sheen Edition Specifications
The Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition features the most attractive fuel tank in bright red, accented with silver and red chrome with blacked-out graphics. Its capacity is 12.5 liters. There are knee pads on both sides. Additionally, all other components of the bike are finished in Piano Black and Matte Black colors.
Jawa branding is on the dash cover. The dual exhaust pipes are painted matte black. The Bobber also includes a pair of handlebar end mirrors and a leather solo seat. The kerb weight of the motorcycle is 185kg.
Performance
The Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition shares the same engine as the other variants. It is a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled gasoline engine with a displacement of 334 cc that produces 29.4 HP and 32.7 Nm of torque. The company has refined and retuned this engine for better performance.
As a transmission, the engine is associated with a 6-speed gearbox. It also has the option of a slipper and assist clutch. For better performance, Jawa reduced the Bobber 42’s lowest RPM from 1500 to 1350. At the same time, the throttle body size was increased from 33mm to 38mm.
Brakes and Suspension
To improve ride quality, the company has included a monoshock in the rear suspension and a telescopic fork in the front of the bike. For braking, it has disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS. In terms of features, the bike offers a two-step adjustable saddle, USB charging port, digital console, engine shutdown with side stand, and full LED lighting.
