Hero MotoCorp pays tribute to its founder and chairman Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal with the collector’s edition motorcycle – the Centenary. In fact, it is an innovative way to celebrate the 101st birth anniversary of the man behind the Hero MotoCorp brand. The name ‘Centennial’ is quite fitting, as only 100 examples of this motorcycle will be made to celebrate the 101st anniversary. The motorcycle is now being auctioned for interested buyers.
Centennial of Heroes: Design
The Centenary looks futuristic in every sense. It impresses with its unique design that uses refined materials like carbon fiber and aluminum. Design highlights include an aluminum swingarm as well as anodized handlebars, handlebar mounts, fork clamps and rear footpegs. The single-seater design with carbon fiber panel gives the Centennial a brutal look. It will also feature a special edition number plate made of milled aluminum. Diamond-cut alloy wheels and contrasting paintwork for the engine and frame further highlight its appeal.
Centennial of Heroes: Performance
The Centennial is based on the Kariza XMR, and it is clear from the images that it features a sportier design theme and bike parts. It features adjustable suspension with a 43mm USD fork at the front and an Akrapovic carbon fibre silencer. Compared to the Karizma XMR, the weight of the Centennial is reduced by 5 kilos and weighs 158 kg.
Centennial of Heroes: Deliveries to begin in September 2024
Hero MotoCorp will begin deliveries of the Centennial motorcycle in September. However, as the company celebrates 100 days of commitment to customers and employees, 100 lucky buyers can receive 100% cash back on their purchase. Hero MotoCorp also invites its customers to participate in the “My Hero, My Story” campaign, where the best participants will be rewarded with the coveted “The Centenary”.
