Hero MotoCorp has dropped another teaser for its upcoming updated Destini 125 scooter. The new Destini 125 is expected to receive a major design overhaul, with a more angular headlight unit compared to the outgoing model. Additionally, the front indicators have been repositioned horizontally, and the chrome accents now sport a bronze finish instead of the traditional silver.
At the rear, the taillight has been redesigned with a sleeker LED unit replacing the bulbous halogen setup on the current Destini. The top-spec XTEC variant showcased in the teaser includes a passenger backrest and a digital display, likely with Bluetooth connectivity. Alloy wheels, presumably measuring 12 inches, and a front disc brake are also visible, although these features may be limited to higher-end variants.
Under the hood, the current Destini 125 is powered by a 124.6cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 9.1hp at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. While it’s unclear if Hero will make any changes to the powertrain for the updated model, the current Destini 125 is priced at Rs 80,048 for the LX variant and Rs 86,538 for the XTEC variant.
With the significant design updates, the Hero Destini 125 is expected to attract a wider range of buyers. The scooter competes with other popular options in the Indian market, such as the Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter. The updated Destini 125 is likely to be launched in the coming weeks.
