KTM has expanded its Indian lineup with the launch of the 1290 Super Adventure S. This powerful adventure tourer is priced at Rs 22.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 1290 Super Adventure S boasts a muscular and imposing design, with a tall stance and aggressive bodywork. The split LED headlight with DRLs and the centrally mounted radar sensor add to its distinctive look.
Powering this adventure tourer is a 1,301cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 158 bhp. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter and a slipper clutch. The bike also comes with a plethora of electronic rider aids, including multiple ride modes, traction control, ABS, cruise control, and a smartphone-connected 7-inch TFT display.
The 1290 Super Adventure S features WP semi-active front and rear suspension, ensuring a comfortable and controlled ride. The bike rides on cast aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in Mitas Terra Force R tires, offering a good balance of on-road and off-road performance. Powerful Brembo brakes provide excellent stopping power.
The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S competes with the BMW R 1300 GS and Ducati Multistrada V4. It is positioned as KTM’s flagship adventure touring motorcycle in the Indian market.
