Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the GSX-8R, a new middleweight supersport motorcycle, at a price of ₹ 9.25 lakh. The GSX-8R is powered by a 776 cc parallel-twin engine that produces 81 hp and 78 Nm of torque. It features a sharp design, advanced technology, and a comfortable riding position.
The GSX-8R shares its engine with the V-Strom 800 DE ADV and the GSX-8S naked sport motorcycle. It offers a smooth and powerful riding experience, thanks to its 270-degree crank configuration and cross balancer shaft. The motorcycle also comes with a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter.
In terms of features, the GSX-8R offers a range of modern amenities, including a 5-inch color TFT-LCD console, intelligent ride system with three riding modes, 4-step switchable traction control, ride-by-wire, ABS, and low-rpm assist. It also features a comfortable riding position with a 14-liter fuel tank and a kerb weight of 205 kg.
The GSX-8R is equipped with a high-quality suspension system, including a Showa separate function big-piston USD fork up front and a link-type monoshock at the rear. It also features twin 310 mm disc brakes up front and a 240 mm disc brake at the rear.
The Suzuki GSX-8R is a versatile and capable middleweight supersport motorcycle that offers a balance of performance, comfort, and technology. It competes with other popular models in this segment, such as the Triumph Daytona 660, Kawasaki Ninja 660, and Aprilia RS 660.
