Kawasaki Eliminator 500

Kawasaki has given its popular cruiser, the Eliminator 500, a fresh coat of paint for the European market. The motorcycle is now available in three new color schemes: Metallic Flat Spark Black and Pearl Robotic White for the standard model, and Metallic Carbon Gray/Flat Ebony for the SE variant. Apart from the new color options, the bike remains mechanically unchanged.

While there’s no official word yet, there’s a strong possibility that Kawasaki might introduce these or similar color schemes for the Indian market, especially during the upcoming festive season. Currently, the Eliminator 500 is offered in India in a single color option, priced at Rs 5.62 lakh (ex-showroom).

The suspension setup includes telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a single disc at the front and rear, with ABS as standard. The bike rolls on 18-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels, shod with 130/70 and 150/80 section tyres respectively.

Features and Design

The Eliminator boasts a modern cruiser design with a blend of retro elements. It features a circular LCD instrument cluster that can be synced with a smartphone via the Rideology app, offering features like call alerts, ride data, and maintenance reminders. The bike also comes equipped with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear shifts.

With a low seat height of 735mm and a comfortable riding position, the Eliminator caters to a wide range of riders. The bike’s design, coupled with its relaxed ergonomics, makes it an ideal choice for long rides.

Competition

In the Indian market, the Kawasaki Eliminator primarily competes with the Keeway V302C. It also serves as an alternative for those looking for a cruiser below the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

The introduction of new color options is a welcome move by Kawasaki, adding a fresh appeal to the already popular Eliminator 500.
