Tesla Cybertruck Faces Seventh Recall This Year

Tesla is recalling 694,304 vehicles in the United States due to a malfunctioning tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The issue stems from a software update that inadvertently resets the TPMS warning light between driving sessions, potentially leaving drivers unaware of low tire pressure.

The recall encompasses 2024 Cybertruck models, as well as 2017-2025 Model 3 and 2020-2025 Model Y vehicles. Tesla discovered the problem during routine compliance tests for non-US vehicles and traced it back to a software update released in 2024.

While the recall affects a significant number of vehicles, Tesla has already addressed the issue with an over-the-air software update. Owners will receive notification letters by mid-February.

This marks the seventh recall for the Cybertruck this year, highlighting ongoing concerns about the vehicle’s reliability. Previous recalls have addressed issues such as loss of drive power, a malfunctioning rearview camera, a sticking accelerator pedal, and loose trim pieces.
