Jeep has unveiled a special edition of its Wrangler 4xe, paying homage to the iconic Willys MB military vehicle. The 2025 Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 Special Edition, priced at $59,930, is a modern interpretation of the iconic off-roader, blending classic design cues with cutting-edge technology.
The special edition Wrangler sports a distinctive olive-drab paint job, reminiscent of the original Willys MB. It also features Drab Blue decals that pay tribute to the US Army’s stencil markings from the 1940s. The 17-inch aluminum wheels are finished in the same olive-drab color and wrapped in 33-inch all-terrain tires.
Inside, the Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 Special Edition offers a nostalgic interior with tan Heritage cloth seats and an olive fabric dashboard insert. The ’41 shifter medallion adds a touch of authenticity. While the standard model offers a body-color hardtop and Sky One-touch powertop, Jeep plans to introduce a tan soft top option for a more retro look.
Despite its vintage appearance, the Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 Special Edition is packed with modern technology. Its hybrid powertrain, consisting of a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and two electric motors, delivers a combined output of 375 horsepower. While the electric range of 21 miles may not be groundbreaking, it offers a glimpse into the future of off-roading.
The 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument cluster further enhance the modern driving experience. While the 2022 Easter Safari’s ‘41 Concept offered a more extreme retro look, this latest version is a more practical and accessible interpretation of the iconic Willys MB.
It’s exciting to imagine these modern-day Wranglers alongside original Willys MBs on off-road adventures, showcasing the evolution of off-road technology while honoring the heritage of the iconic military vehicle.
