Honda has officially teased the upcoming third-generation Amaze, a compact sedan that has been spotted testing in India. While initial speculations pointed to a festive season launch, the company has now confirmed a late-2024 launch. Interestingly, this aligns with the launch of the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire, scheduled for November 11th, 2024.
The teaser image offers a glimpse of the Amaze’s front fascia, revealing a significant design overhaul inspired by global Honda sedans. The car features a bold, new mesh grille, stylish LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, and an aggressive lower bumper with a new air dam and fog lamp housing. A sleek chrome bar connects the grille to the headlights, adding a touch of elegance.
Spy shots have revealed that the new Amaze will retain its overall silhouette while adopting design cues from other Honda sedans. The rear end will feature new LED taillights, a reverse camera, a shark fin antenna, and three fixed rear headrests.

Under the hood, the third-generation Amaze will likely continue with the 1.2-liter, four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine from the current model, producing 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque. Transmission options are expected to include a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
The interior of the new Amaze remains a mystery, but it’s speculated to share some similarities with the Honda Elevate. This could mean a layered dashboard design, a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a single-pane sunroof, fabric upholstery, and possibly a 360-degree camera and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
With its refreshed design, improved features, and familiar engine, the new Honda Amaze aims to compete fiercely in the compact sedan segment, taking on rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.
