Chinese automaker BYD has reportedly unveiled the BYD Song PLUS DM-i model. The new BYD Song PLUS DM-i is featured in the 383rd edition of the “Road Motor Vehicle Product Manufacturing and Announcement Catalogue” of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Here’s a detailed look at the new BYD Song PLUS DM-i. The higher-range 71 km Song PLUS DM-i Honor Edition is priced at 129,800 yuan (approximately Rs. 15,27,054). The 110 km flagship model costs 139,800 yuan (approximately Rs. 16,13,067). The Flagship Plus 110 km model is priced at 149,800 yuan. The Flagship Plus 150 km model costs around 159,800 yuan (approximately Rs. 18,43,835). The Flagship Plus 5G 150 km model is priced at 169,800 yuan (approximately Rs. 19,97,640).
Coming to the design, the new version retains the design of the previous version with some changes made at the back. The “BUILD YOUR DREAMS” logo on the back has been replaced with the “BYD” logo. Despite these changes, the size of the vehicle remains the same with a length of 4775 mm, width of 1890 mm, height of 1670 mm and wheelbase of 2765 mm.
The new BYD Song PLUS DM-i model is equipped with a BYD472QC engine with a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid configuration. The motor in the previous model produced 74 kilowatts of power. In the new model, the power of the electric motor has been increased to 160 kW. In terms of range, according to BYD’s website, the combined driving range (FWD) of this car is 1,090 kilometers.
