Honda has unveiled two electric motorcycle concepts, the EV Fun and EV Urban, at the 2024 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. These concepts represent Honda’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle portfolio and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Honda EV Fun Concept
The EV Fun concept is designed to offer performance comparable to a mid-sized internal combustion engine motorcycle. It’s Honda’s first electric sports model and is slated for commercialization in 2025.
The EV Fun concept boasts a futuristic design with geometric lines and a single-sided swingarm. It’s equipped with a fast-charging battery compatible with the CCS2 charging standard, enabling a claimed range of over 100 kilometers.
Honda EV Urban Concept
The EV Urban concept, while still in its early stages, is envisioned as a premium electric scooter. It’s designed to offer a blend of cutting-edge technology, excellent hardware, and in-house developed batteries.
Honda’s Electric Vision
The introduction of these two electric motorcycle concepts aligns with Honda’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality for all its motorcycle products by the 2040s and overall carbon neutrality by 2050.
Honda plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment in 2024 with the global launch of its electric bikes, followed by market entry in 2025 and beyond.
