BYD India has bolstered its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio with the launch of new variants for the popular BYD Atto 3. Previously offered in a single trim, the Atto 3 now boasts three distinct variants – Dynamic, Premium, and Superior. This strategic move caters to a wider range of customer preferences and budgets, making the feature-rich electric SUV even more appealing.
Enhanced Appeal with More Choice and Technology
The new BYD Atto 3 variants boast a compelling starting price of Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Dynamic variant, making it a strong contender in the competitive electric SUV segment. The top-of-the-line Superior trim tops out at Rs 33.99 lakh. Customers can register bookings for a token amount of Rs. 50,000, with deliveries expected to commence in the coming weeks.
Upgrades Across the Board
Building on the success of the initial launch, BYD has equipped all three variants with a host of exciting features, including a panoramic sunroof, a 5-inch digital driver display unit, and a large 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Passengers will also appreciate the comfortable 60:40 split rear seats and the wider 235/55 R18 tyres that enhance grip and handling.
Safety Remains Paramount
Safety remains a top priority for BYD. All Atto 3 variants come equipped with seven airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a 360-degree camera system, and Hill Descent Control (HDC) for added confidence on slopes. Additionally, ISOFIX child seat mounts ensure the safety of your little ones. The top-spec Superior trim takes safety a step further by offering advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for a truly comprehensive safety package.
Power, Performance, and Range
The BYD Atto 3 caters to diverse driving needs with its battery and range options. The Dynamic variant features a 49.92 kWh battery pack that delivers a certified range of 468 km on a single charge (ARAI certified). The Premium and Superior variants boast a larger 60.48 kWh battery pack, extending the driving range to an impressive 521 km on a single charge.
Fast Charging Capabilities
The BYD Atto 3 boasts impressive fast-charging capabilities. The Blade Battery powering the SUV allows for a quick 0-80% charge in just 50 minutes using a DC charger. The Dynamic trim supports a 70 kWh DC charging option, while the Premium and Superior variants offer even faster 80 kWh DC charging capabilities. Acceleration from 0-100 kmph is equally impressive, with the Dynamic variant achieving it in 7.9 seconds and the top two variants clocking it in a thrilling 7.3 seconds.
Expanding Network and Growing Portfolio
BYD India is committed to providing a seamless ownership experience. They are actively expanding their dealership network, which currently stands at 26 showrooms across 23 cities. In addition to the Atto 3, BYD India offers the e6 MPV and the recently launched BYD Seal, a stylish electric sedan, providing customers with a diverse selection of electric vehicles to choose from.
