Chevrolet is expanding its electric vehicle offerings in Brazil with the upcoming Spark EUV, revealed in official photos and videos. This new EV is essentially a rebadged version of the Baojun Yep Plus, a charming electric urban SUV from the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture. This strategic move allows Chevrolet to quickly and cost-effectively introduce a compelling EV to the Brazilian market.
The Spark EUV’s design is virtually identical to the Baojun Yep Plus, with only the Chevrolet badge distinguishing it. Despite sharing the “Spark” name, this new model is completely unrelated to the previous Chevrolet Spark EV, a short-lived electric hatchback sold in the US several years ago.
The interior of the Spark EUV mirrors the Baojun Yep Plus, featuring a modern digital cockpit with dual 10.2-inch displays. It’s also anticipated to inherit the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) developed by DJI, the drone manufacturer, found in its Chinese counterpart.

While full specifications and a launch date are still pending, the Spark EUV’s arrival is part of a larger Chevrolet initiative to introduce 10 new models to Brazil by 2025, with five designated as “major” launches. The Spark EUV, with its market potential, likely falls into this category.
Based on the Baojun Yep Plus dimensions, the Spark EUV will be Chevrolet’s smallest vehicle, measuring just under 4 meters in length. The Baojun lineup includes various body styles, but it remains to be seen whether Chevrolet will offer anything beyond the rebadged five-door version in Brazil.

It’s expected that the Spark EUV will utilize the same powertrain as the Chinese model: a rear-mounted electric motor producing 101 horsepower and a 41.9 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 401 km (249 miles) on the CLTC cycle.
A key selling point for the Spark EUV could be its affordability. While Brazilian pricing is unknown, the Baojun Yep Plus starts at a very competitive price in China.

In addition to the Spark EUV, Chevrolet also announced a special 100th Anniversary series for the Onix, Tracker, and S10 models, created exclusively for the Brazilian market.
