Skoda Kylaq: Price Revealed, Bookings Open

Skoda India recently introduced the Kylaq with an attractive introductory price of ₹7.89 lakh for the base Classic variant. Now, the company has disclosed the full pricing across all variants. The Kylaq lineup consists of four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige.

The Signature variant starts at ₹9.59 lakh for the manual and ₹10.59 lakh for the automatic. The Signature+ is priced at ₹11.40 lakh for the manual and ₹12.40 lakh for the automatic. The top-tier Prestige variant is available at ₹13.35 lakh for the manual and ₹14.40 lakh for the automatic (all prices ex-showroom, India). Bookings for the Kylaq are now open, with deliveries scheduled to begin on January 27, 2025.

To celebrate the launch, Skoda is offering the first 33,333 customers a complimentary 3-year standard maintenance package. This package is expected to bring down maintenance costs to just ₹0.20 per km over the initial five years of ownership. The sub-4m SUV has undergone extensive testing, covering over 8 lakh km—equivalent to more than a round trip to the moon. Buyers can choose from seven color options: Tornado Red, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Lava Blue, Deep Black, and Olive Gold.

Under the hood, the Kylaq features a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder TSI petrol engine that generates 114 hp and 178 Nm of torque. Customers can opt for a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The range-topping Prestige AT variant boasts premium features such as LED projector headlamps, a sunroof, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, ambient lighting, ventilated seats with 6-way power adjustment, paddle shifters, and more. Safety remains a priority with six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ESC, and tilt-and-telescopic steering adjustment offered as standard.

The Kylaq also comes with a standard warranty covering 3 years or 1 lakh km. Competing in the highly competitive subcompact SUV segment, it rivals popular models such as the Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet.
