Kia Carens Prices Rise by Up to Rs 10,000

Kia Carens

Kia, a prominent player in the Indian automotive market, has increased prices on its premium MPV, the Carens, by up to Rs 10,000. This price adjustment comes as Kia prepares to launch an updated version of the Carens, along with a potential electric variant. The Carens competes with other premium MPVs like the Maruti Suzuki XL6. Let’s examine the details of this price increase.

Carens Price Adjustment Before Facelift

The Carens, Kia’s third mainstream offering in India after the Seltos and Sonet, was the brand’s first three-row vehicle designed for families and passenger transport. As Kia gears up for the Carens’ upcoming update, including a possible electric version, the company has announced a price hike of up to Rs 10,000. The newly introduced Gravity trim has seen the largest increase, while other trims and their respective variants have received varying price adjustments. Following the price revision, the Kia Carens now starts at Rs 10.6 lakh (ex-showroom).

Anticipating the Facelift

Kia India has been actively testing a facelifted version of the Carens, which is expected to showcase a refreshed design language. Spy photos of the Carens facelift have revealed a new connected LED taillight design and a redesigned front fascia with distinctive headlights. While the side profile largely remains unchanged, new alloy wheel options are anticipated.

The interior is also expected to receive a significant upgrade, aiming for a more premium feel. Potential feature enhancements include the same 30-inch Trinity display found in the Kia Syros, which integrates dual 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and the instrument cluster, along with a dedicated 5-inch touchscreen for climate control. Rear ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof are also likely additions. In terms of safety, the Carens facelift is expected to incorporate Level-2 ADAS, 360-degree cameras, an electronic parking brake, and other advanced safety features. The launch of the facelifted Carens is anticipated towards the end of 2025 or sometime in 2026. Also Read: Maruti Suzuki Celerio Prices Increased After Six Airbag Addition
