Nissan Magnite Facelift Teased Ahead of October 4 Launch

Nissan Magnite facelift

Nissan Motor India has released a fresh teaser for the highly anticipated Magnite facelift, stoking excitement among enthusiasts. The teaser offers a glimpse of the upcoming model’s refreshed design, featuring new alloy wheels and a focus on its global appeal.

Nissan’s social media post on ‘X’ emphasizes the Magnite’s potential to make a global impact, stating, “Drive the SUV that’s ready to make its mark globally. One Car. One World. Coming soon.” This declaration underscores the company’s ambition for the Magnite to resonate with international audiences.

Expected Design Updates

The Magnite facelift is expected to feature several exterior enhancements. The front and rear bumpers are likely to be redesigned, while updates to the grille and headlamps will give the SUV a more modern and aggressive appearance. The taillights are also rumored to receive a new design.

In terms of wheels, the teaser showcases fresh diamond-cut alloy wheels, which are expected to be available on higher trim levels. Entry-level variants may feature revamped plastic wheel covers.

Interior Enhancements

While the overall interior design is likely to remain similar, the facelift could introduce minor tweaks. A single-pane sunroof is anticipated, along with subtle changes to the dashboard. Safety features are expected to be upgraded, potentially including the addition of six airbags. The infotainment system is set to receive improvements, with a larger touchscreen and enhanced comfort features to elevate the driving experience.

Powertrain to Remain Unchanged

The Magnite facelift is not expected to undergo any significant changes to its powertrain options. It will continue to be powered by either a 1.0-liter three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine. The naturally aspirated version offers both a five-speed manual and AMT transmission, while the turbocharged variant comes with manual and CVT gearbox options.

Competition in the Subcompact SUV Segment

The updated Magnite will face stiff competition in the subcompact SUV segment, which includes popular models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra 3XO. Nissan will need to ensure that the facelift offers compelling features and value proposition to attract buyers in this competitive market.
