Hyundai Venue S(O)+ Launched: Electric Sunroof at Rs 10 Lakh

Hyundai Motor India has expanded its popular Venue SUV lineup with the introduction of a new variant, the S(O)+. Priced competitively at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), the standout feature of this new offering is the inclusion of an electric sunroof, making it the most affordable Venue variant to boast this coveted feature. This strategic move is expected to further bolster the SUV’s appeal among young buyers.  

Hyundai Venue S(O)+: Heart and Soul

Powering the S(O)+ variant is a familiar 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine, producing a respectable 83 hp and 114 Nm of torque. This powerplant is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.  

While the focus is undoubtedly on the sunroof, the S(O)+ variant doesn’t compromise on safety. It comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including six airbags, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), and a rearview camera. Additionally, the variant boasts a modern fully digital instrument cluster with a color TFT Multi Information Display (MID), enhancing the overall driving experience.

The Hyundai Venue has consistently been a formidable force in the sub-4 meter SUV segment, competing head-to-head with rivals like the Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Brezza. With the introduction of the S(O)+ variant, Hyundai aims to strengthen its position in this highly competitive space. The Venue lineup now spans a price range of Rs 7.94 lakh to Rs 13.48 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a diverse range of options to cater to different customer preferences and budgets.  

The addition of the sunroof-equipped S(O)+ variant is a strategic move by Hyundai to appeal to a wider customer base. By making this popular feature accessible at a more affordable price point, the company aims to attract young buyers seeking style, safety, and value in a compact SUV package.
