Hyundai Motor India has further expanded its global footprint by introducing the popular Hyundai Exter to South Africa. This marks the eighth model from Hyundai’s Indian manufacturing plant to be exported to the country, following the success of the GRAND i10 NIOS, AURA, i20, i20 N Line, VENUE, VENUE N Line, and ALCAZAR.

The first shipment of 996 Hyundai Exter units has been dispatched to South Africa, signaling the model’s entry into this important export market for Hyundai. Jae Wan Ryu, Function Head – Corporate Planning at Hyundai Motor India, expressed his excitement about the expansion, stating, “South Africa has always been a significant export market for HMIL. We are proud to continue our 20-year journey of exporting world-class products to the country. The Hyundai Exter’s success in India demonstrates its appeal to customers worldwide, and we are confident that it will be equally appreciated in South Africa.”

The Hyundai Exter, manufactured exclusively by HMIL in India, has achieved remarkable popularity in the domestic market, surpassing the 1 lakh sales milestone within a year of its launch. The model is powered by a 1197cc engine that delivers 67.72-81.8 bhp. It offers both manual and automatic transmission options and provides excellent fuel efficiency of 19.2-19.4 kmpl. To cater to diverse customer preferences, the Hyundai Exter is now available with Hy-CNG (Dual Cylinder CNG) and Knight Edition variants and comes in ten different colors.

The launch of the Hyundai Exter in South Africa is a testament to Hyundai Motor India’s commitment to global expansion and its ability to produce high-quality vehicles that resonate with customers worldwide. With its stylish design, feature-rich interior, and reliable performance, the Hyundai Exter is well-positioned to make a strong impact in the South African market.
