The much-awaited Hyundai Alcazar facelift is set to launch in India on September 9, 2024. Bookings are already open with a token amount of Rs. 25,000. The SUV has already made headlines with its striking exterior design, showcased through teaser images and a video featuring Shah Rukh Khan. Now, a new video has revealed the cabin design, color options, and an array of features.

Variants and Seating Configurations

The new Alcazar will be available in four variants: Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. Both six-seater and seven-seater versions will be offered, with the six-seater featuring comfortable captain seats in the second row exclusively on the top-end trims. The video showcases the luxurious six-seater version in a Black and Tan dual-tone color scheme.

Interior Features and Technology

Packed with features and technology, the Alcazar boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual USB Type-C ports, a premium Bose audio system, a large panoramic sunroof, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Connected car features, including smartphone-based digital key functionality, enhance convenience and connectivity.

Comfort and Convenience

The top-spec six-seater Alcazar offers ventilation for four seats (first and second rows) and 8-way power adjustments for the front seats. A convenient “Retract” function automatically adjusts the seats for easier ingress and egress. The video also highlights the luxurious rear seats with seat-mounted armrests, adjustable headrests with side bolstering, and adjustable thigh extensions.

Second-Row Amenities

The Alcazar’s second-row occupants can enjoy “Boss mode” adjustments, allowing them to electrically adjust the co-driver’s seat using buttons located in their seat. Additionally, IT device trays with foldable cup holders and window curtains provide added comfort and convenience.

Other Features

Other notable features expected on the facelifted Alcazar include ambient lighting, level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), dual-zone climate control, wireless chargers in the first and second rows, horizontal AC vents, and a magnetic pad similar to the one found in the IONIQ 5 EV.

Exterior Design Highlights

The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift features key design changes inspired by the outgoing Creta. A full-width LED light bar, LED DRLs with a distinctive H-shaped design, and a refreshed front grille with sporty dark horizontal slats enhance its appeal. The headlamps closely resemble those of the Creta, while new bumpers with front skid plates, a new smoked tail lamp design, sporty roof rails, body-colored door handles, and new dual-tone alloy wheels complete the exterior makeover.

Color Options

The Alcazar will be available in nine colors, including three all-new shades: Robust Emerald Pearl, Robust Emerald Matte, and Fiery Red. Other color options are Titan Grey Matte, Starry Night, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Atlas White with Abyss Black roof.

Powertrains

The facelifted Alcazar retains the same powertrain options as its predecessor. It will be offered with a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 116 hp and 250 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine delivering 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic for the diesel engine, and a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT for the petrol engine.
