Ford has released a teaser image of the upcoming 2025 Expedition, offering a glimpse of its redesigned exterior. While undisguised prototypes have been spotted in Detroit, and the related 2025 Lincoln Navigator has already been unveiled, this teaser provides a closer look at the Expedition’s distinctive styling.
A Modern Face
The teaser image reveals a completely revamped front fascia. The Expedition will feature a wide grille flanked by thin illuminated strips and slender headlights. A small intake is positioned just below the grille, adding to the aggressive and modern appearance.
Familiar Silhouette
The overall silhouette of the Expedition remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. Rounded wheel arches, a prominent character line, and a distinctive kink in the beltline are carried over from the previous model.

Split Gate and Redesigned Interior
One of the most notable changes is the introduction of a Split Gate. This innovative feature combines the functionality of a traditional liftgate with a conventional tailgate, providing greater versatility and convenience.
The interior of the 2025 Expedition has also undergone a significant transformation. While it shares some design cues with the Navigator, the Expedition features a smaller infotainment screen mounted on top of the dashboard. A secondary display below serves as a traditional infotainment system.
Other interior highlights include vertical air vents, a wide center console, and contrast stitching on the Tremor variant.
Powertrain Options
While the Navigator is exclusively powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine, the 2025 Expedition is expected to offer a range of powertrain options. This includes the same 3.5-liter V6 engine in various states of tune, producing different horsepower and torque outputs to cater to different driving needs and preferences.
The 2025 Expedition is set to make its official debut on October 3. Stay tuned for more details and information as we get closer to the launch date.
