Maruti Suzuki is shaking things up in the compact sedan segment with the highly anticipated launch of the all-new, fourth-generation Dzire. Scheduled for an official reveal on November 11th, this next-generation Dzire promises a complete redesign, advanced features, and a compelling value proposition.
Building on the legacy of its predecessor, which has garnered over 27 lakh customers since its 2008 debut, the new Dzire aims to redefine the segment. Customers can already secure their Dzire with a pre-booking fee of Rs 11,000.
Maruti Suzuki describes the new Dzire as the perfect blend of tradition and aspiration. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer for Marketing & Sales, highlights the car’s “new design, superior comfort, and cutting-edge technology.” He emphasizes that the Dzire “goes beyond conventional expectations” with its advanced powertrain options and curated features.
Here’s a glimpse of what to expect from the all-new Dzire:
- Bold New Design: Expect a more aggressive exterior compared to the current model. Think larger grille with chrome accents, sleek LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, new fog lights, stylish alloy wheels, and a redesigned rear with LED taillights.
- Revamped Interior: Look for a distinctive dashboard design similar to the fourth-generation Swift. Maintain a dual-tone black and beige theme with possible leather upholstery options in higher trims. A large touchscreen infotainment system and faux-wood dashboard trim are likely additions. Rumors suggest features like a sunroof and a 360-degree camera might be offered.
- Familiar Performance: The Dzire is expected to retain the same platform as the current Swift hatchback. Powering the car will likely be the new 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine from the Swift, generating 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a five-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. A CNG variant is also in the works, offering around 68 bhp and 101 Nm of torque.
- Competitive Price Range: Maruti Suzuki is likely to price the Dzire within the Rs 7.00-10.00 lakh range, maintaining its reputation for value-for-money offerings.
With its significant upgrades and compelling features, the all-new Dzire is poised to make a splash in the compact sedan segment. The official launch on November 11th will reveal all the details, but these early insights paint a picture of a car that aims to redefine expectations.
