Kawasaki Announces February Discounts on Ninja, Z Motorcycles

Kawasaki India

Kawasaki India has announced February discounts on several of its popular models, including the Ninja 300, Ninja 500, Ninja 650, and Z900. These discounts, offered as vouchers redeemable against the ex-showroom price, are valid until February 28, 2025.

Here’s a breakdown of the discounted prices:

  • Ninja 300: Reduced from Rs 3,43,000 to Rs 3,13,000 (Rs 30,000 discount)
  • Ninja 500: Reduced from Rs 5,29,000 to Rs 5,14,000 (Rs 15,000 discount)
  • Ninja 650: Reduced from Rs 7,16,000 to Rs 6,71,000 (Rs 45,000 discount)
  • Z900: Reduced from Rs 9,38,000 to Rs 8,98,000 (Rs 40,000 discount)

While these discounts make the bikes more affordable, some models still face stiff competition. For instance, even with the discount, the Ninja 300’s price of Rs 3,13,000 (ex-showroom) is significantly higher, by Rs 38,000, than the TVS Apache RR 310, which offers more features and comparable performance. The Apache RR 310 boasts features like traction control, cornering ABS, and riding modes, and its 312cc engine produces 38PS and 29Nm, slightly less power but more torque than the Ninja 300’s 296cc parallel-twin (39PS and 26.1Nm). A quickshifter-equipped RR 310 is also available for even less.

Similarly, the Ninja 500, even after the discount, remains considerably more expensive (by Rs 94,000) than the Aprilia RS 457, which also offers more advanced features like traction control and riding modes. Performance-wise, the Ninja 500’s parallel-twin engine (45.4PS and 42.6Nm) is slightly less powerful and torquey than the Aprilia RS 457 (46.7PS and 43.5Nm).

The Kawasaki Z900, however, stands out as a compelling option. Its discounted price makes it the most affordable inline-four superbike currently available in India, making it a strong contender for riders seeking a big bike experience on a budget.
