The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX has officially been revealed, showcasing a range of updates for the new model year. This Japanese sport-touring motorcycle will be offered in two variants internationally – the Standard and SE trims.
At the heart of the new Ninja 1100 SX is a fresh 1099cc, liquid-cooled, inline-four engine that delivers 132 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 112.6 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, and Kawasaki has upgraded the quick-shifter to function from 1,500 rpm upwards, making it usable even at lower speeds in city traffic.
Kawasaki has also fine-tuned the engine’s torque curve to improve performance across the rpm range, enhancing overall rideability. Additionally, the fifth and sixth gears have been made taller to provide a more relaxed cruising experience during highway rides.
In terms of design, the 2025 model retains the sharp, aerodynamic front fairing with twin LED headlights, along with the familiar side and tail sections from the previous generation. However, the SE trim distinguishes itself with striking gold and black graphics that contrast against Kawasaki’s iconic green color.
Underneath the bodywork, the chassis remains mostly unchanged, with the exception of a larger rear disc brake. The SE variant also receives significant upgrades, including Brembo Monobloc 4.32 calipers at the front and an Ohlins S36 adjustable monoshock for superior handling, features not available on the Standard model. Both trims ride on 17-inch wheels fitted with new Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres for improved grip and performance.
In terms of technology, the Ninja 1100 SX is packed with advanced features. It comes equipped with all-LED lighting, a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, multiple power modes, traction control, ABS, cruise control, and a USB-C charging port. The SE version also includes heated grips as standard, adding comfort for longer rides.
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 1100 SX is expected to make its Indian debut later this year, possibly during the India Bike Week event in December.
