Honda has announced major updates for its 2025 Civic, introducing high-performance hybrid features and sportier styling. This update builds on the success of the 11th generation model, named North American Car of the Year 2022. The new Civic range includes a hybrid option, available in sedan and hatchback versions, offering a combination of performance and energy efficiency.
Honda Civic 2025: new hybrid engines
The 2025 Honda Civic will feature a new two-motor hybrid powertrain, making it the most powerful non-Type R Civic ever. Hybrid models should deliver 232 lb.-ft. (314 Nm) of torque and a total of 200 HP. This configuration is expected to account for about 40 percent of all Civic sales, reflecting Honda’s push toward electrification.

2025 Honda Civic: Improved Design and Features
The exterior of the 2025 Civic features a more aggressive front fascia and grille, as well as revised taillights. Four new exterior colors are introduced: Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, Blue Lagoon Pearl and Sand Dune Pearl. Inside, the Civic benefits from a refreshed, simple and clean interior, with hybrid models available in a new gray interior colour.
The top Sport Touring Hybrid trim comes with Google built-in and offers apps like Google Assistant and Google Maps for better connectivity. This trim also includes a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a wireless smartphone charger.

The 11th-generation Civic comes standard with advanced safety features such as Honda Sensing®, Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). All Sport models now come with blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
Production of the Civic sedan continues in Alliston, Ontario, Canada, and the Civic Hatchback in Greensburg, Indiana, United States. Honda has produced more than 11 million Civics in North America since 1982.
