Bajaj Pulsar N125 debuts in India, priced at ₹95,800

Bajaj Auto has recently expanded its Pulsar lineup with the introduction of the Pulsar N125. This latest addition to the N series is the smallest member yet, aiming to cater to the growing demand for 125cc motorcycles. Priced competitively between ₹94,707 and ₹98,707 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Pulsar N125 offers a blend of performance, style, and features.

One of the most striking aspects of the Pulsar N125 is its unique design. Departing from the traditional Pulsar aesthetic, the N125 boasts sharp, sporty lines that make it stand out from the crowd. The LED headlight adds a modern touch, while the fuel tank shape and extensions contribute to its visual appeal. The overall design is athletic and compact, reminiscent of the Pulsar 135 LS.

Under the hood, the Pulsar N125 is equipped with a new 124.58cc, single-cylinder engine that delivers 11.8 bhp and 11 Nm of torque. This power output aligns with its competitors in the segment, and it is paired with a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Bajaj claims a top speed of 97 kmph and a fuel efficiency of around 55-60 kmpl.

To enhance handling and performance, the Pulsar N125 features a redesigned chassis that is significantly lighter than its predecessor, the Pulsar NS125. Weighing in at just 125 kg, it offers a more agile and responsive ride. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear, while braking is provided by a combination of disc and drum brakes.

While the Pulsar N125 offers a compelling package, it does have a few shortcomings. The lack of a single-channel ABS variant, which is available on the Hero Xtreme 125R, may be a drawback for safety-conscious riders. Additionally, the absence of turn-by-turn navigation on even the top-spec variant might be a missed opportunity in today’s connected world.
