A Delhi man has faced widespread condemnation after a viral video showed him lying carelessly on a busy road to create a social media reel. The incident, captured on camera and shared on Instagram, has sparked outrage and calls for action.
In the video, the man can be seen sprawled out on the road, wearing red glasses and staring at his phone. The traffic light turns green, and vehicles behind him begin to move forward, narrowly missing the man. Several commuters stopped, shocked by his reckless behavior that put his life at risk.
The video’s comment section was filled with angry responses, with many demanding that the Delhi Police take action against the man. Similar cases have been reported in the past. In April, a man was arrested for sitting on a busy road to create a reel.
Delhi Police has taken a stern stance against such reckless behavior. In the previous case, the police registered a case under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act and IPC, arrested the individual, and seized their motorcycle and mobile phone. The process of deleting the Instagram account is also underway.
The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of prioritizing social media content over personal safety. It is important to use social media responsibly and avoid engaging in activities that could endanger oneself or others.
