Kia has officially unveiled its new PV5 van, the inaugural model in its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup, designed for versatile commercial and personal use. The vehicle will be available in passenger, cargo, and chassis cab configurations, catering to a wide range of needs.
The PV5 Passenger variant is designed for dual-purpose use, seamlessly transitioning between personal transportation and business operations. Kia collaborated with Uber to tailor this model to meet rider demands, ensuring it can accommodate various Uber service categories.
The PV5 Cargo offers flexibility with Standard, Long, and High-Roof options, providing up to 5,100 liters of cargo space. The cargo version features two front seats, with an optional third seat, and an L-track mounting system for secure cargo management.

The PV5 Chassis Cab is a customizable platform, derived from the cargo model, intended for specialized conversions such as drop-side trucks or refrigerated vans.
In terms of dimensions, the Passenger and Long Cargo versions measure 4,695 mm in length and have a 2,995 mm wheelbase. This size positions it between the US and European versions of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz.

The PV5 is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform for Service (E-GMP.S), an evolution of Kia’s E-GMP architecture, optimized for fleet use. This platform enables the integration of various body types onto a flat skateboard chassis, supporting configurations like wheelchair-accessible vehicles and light campers.
